IIC Monthly Update
Welcome to the May issue of the IIC Newsletter.
Earlier this week we celebrated World Telecommunication & Information Society Day. The theme, accelerating Digital Transformation in challenging times, was the perfect way to celebrate the success of our evolving digital programme. It has been heartening to hear how well received our virtual events have been, allowing wider participation from around the globe. We have been delighted with the level of engagement and thank you all for continued support as we navigate the new normal.
The next few months are looking busy with almost 400 delegates registered for our joint biennial event with BEREC next week. Following on from this we have our International Symposium on 5G and Driving the Benefits of Big Data, LatAm/Caribbean Telecommunications & Media Forum and events from our Chapters in Italy and Australia.
Our open Intermedia article this month looks at news around the world and includes the role of AI in tackling COVID 19. AI also being the theme of our featured blog EU proposals for AI lay bare the digital conundrum. All this and more can be found below.
Finally a reminder that this year’s Future Leaders’ Competition is now open, and we ask you to help spread the word and encourage eligible colleagues to apply.
