Big Data, Pluralism & Fake News, 14 July: AGCOM, AGCM & Australia’s ACCC on the issues

there’s still time to register your free place for our Italy Chapter’s webinar on 14 July. Part of the Competition in Digital Markets series, Big Data, Digital Services, Pluralism and Fake News will examine the issues of data as an economic resource.

The panel will draw on the findings of the most recent initiatives in Europe, including the Big Data survey conducted jointly by the Italian Telecommunications Authority (AGCOM), the Competition Authority (AGCM) and the Data Protection Authority. This cross-regulator cooperation provided three different and complementary perspectives: examining the changes resulting from Big Data on users, the companies that utilise it and the markets.

Meet the speakers

The panel of expert speakers will discuss the decisions and initiatives taken in response to the findings, in discussion with colleagues from the Australian Competition Authority (ACCC) who have conducted their own inquiry into digital platforms.
